Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours

Our Principal started work in civil law prior to being admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Whilst completing university studies, Mr Dahlan carried on work as a Legal Clerk and Para-Legal at a top-tier legal practice in Sydney.

While applying himself academically with his Bachelor's degree, Mr Dahlan was able to develop his practical legal skills in civil litigation. In the 5 years that he undertook his Bachelor of Arts (Communications) and Bachelor of Laws degrees, he was able to achieve the highest university accolades by completing his Honours Thesis in Family Law acquiring a high distinction and graduating overall with First Class Honours.

From the commencement of his legal practise, Mr Dahlan worked in a large Sydney- based firm carrying on civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on mortgage matters and property law. He then pursued his interests in personal injury law when he joined a team of leading compensation law specialists based in Sydney and Parramatta. It was during this time that he acquired invaluable skills and experience in the field under the guiding eyes of a Senior Partner of the firm with over 28 years experience in compensation law.

Having accumulated a numbers years learning under the supervision of the state's leading solicitors and barristers in the field, Mr Dahlan elected to establish a new firm; Sydney City Legal. With the reputation he acquired as an astute legal practitioner in the early stages of his career, Mr Dahlan was able to build a strong client base within the newly founded Sydney legal practice. With a resolute and unwavering commitment to each case, meticulous preparation and dedication to each of its clients, Sydney City Legal experienced rapid growth from the early stages of its inception. The firm continues to thrive in today's competitive legal environment.

over the years, Mr Dahlan has conducted proceedings and appeared before judicial officers in most of the state and federal courts and tribunals including Local Courts, Federal Magistrates Courts, the District Court of NSW, Compensation Court, Workers Compensation Commission, Supreme Court of New South Wales, Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Administrative Decisions Tribunal and the Motor Accident Authority's MAS and CARS Services. He has developed and enhanced productive relationships with numerous barristers in the areas of workplace claims, motor accident claims, negligence claims, civil and commercial litigation and family law. In the years that he has spent practising law, Mr Dahlan has achieved resounding success in the vast majority of his cases, delivering innumerable judgements and settlements.
